Print Screen on Apple Mac
Print Screen in Windows is pain in the ass. After you have captured the screen, you need to paste it either in paint or Word (if you rich enough to purchase a copy of Microsoft Office). I love Print Screen function in Mac, it’s ridiculous easy, but for Apple newbie, they will wonder where is the Print Screen located at.
Some of my friend who just switched to Mac screamed at me, “What the heck? Apple keyboard doesn’t have a Print Screen?” Oh dude, Mac is not that gay to have a Print Screen button on the keyboard :) Print Screen on Mac is pretty easy, and there are a few ways to do it.
Print Screen Tips 1: Capture The Screen As Picture
To capture your screen, simply hit (Shift + Apple Command + 3), done!
Hey man, I did the combination of keys, but where is the picture? Check on your Desktop, the file is named Picturex, x will be incremental numbers, you can hit it 20 times, and it will be Picture2, Picture3 and so forth.
Print Screen Tips 2: Capture The Screen to Clipboard
“I don’t want it to save as a picture, I want to capture the screen and later on paste it on a document, can Apple do that?”
Yes, just hit (Ctrl + Shift + Apple Command + 3), a little complicated, but you can achieve what you wanted.
Print Screen Tips 3: Capture A Selection Screen As Picture
“Hmm… I just want to capture a selection of the screen, can it be done in Apple..?”
Truly can, no a problem at all, hit (Shift + Apple Command + 4), highlight the area and it will save a picture on desktop, amazing isn’t it?
Print Screen Tips 4: Capture A Selection Screen As Picture
“Now, I want it on clipboard for selection print screen”
Can… hit (Ctrl + Shift + Apple Command + 4), paste it on the document.. done.
Print Screen Tips 5: Print Screen on a Window with Camera Icon
A cool trick, capture a Window with a Camera Icon… Hit (Shift + Apple Command 4 + Space Bar), do you see the camera? point it at a Window and click, cool stuff isn’t it?
You made the right choice to switch over to Apple, Mac. Have fun with Print Screen!
